Dec 28, 2021

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon volleyball head coach Matt Ulmer has announced the addition of setter Hannah Pukis to the Ducks' 2022 roster. Pukis, a transfer from Washington State, is a two-time Pacific North All-Region performer and was an AVCA All-America Honorable Mention pick after the 2021 spring season.
This past season, Pukis finished fifth in the Pac-12 with 10.30 assists per set and added 2.55 digs per set. She recorded 13 double-doubles in the fall including nine during Pac-12 play; she has 36 double-doubles in her career. The Ducks were on the receiving end of Pukis' near triple-double performance (Nov. 18) in Pullman when she tallied 45 assists, 14 digs and a career-high nine kills.
The Tacoma, Wash., native dished out 40 or more assists in 12 matches this season with a season-high 53 assists in wins over Washington (Sept. 26) and Arizona State (Nov. 7). In directing the WSU offense, Pukis set the Cougars to a .300 or higher hitting percentage seven times in the fall with a high mark of .418 against Gonzaga (Sept. 10).
Pukis was named to the All-Pac-12 Team for a second-consecutive season in addition to her all-region accolades. She helped Washington State to NCAA Tournament appearances in each of the past three seasons including a trip to the second round in 2021. She had 33 assists, eight digs and seven kills in a first-round win over Northern Colorado (Dec. 2).
In three seasons with WSU, Pukis accumulated 2,876 assists, 741 digs and 266 kills. She owns a career high of 62 assists from her redshirt freshman campaign in 2019, a five-set win at Utah. She added 12 digs, five kills and four blocks in that match against the Utes.
Pukis was named to the 2019 Pac-12 All-Freshman Team and was later selected as a Freshman All-America Honorable Mention pick. The following March (2020), Pukis was chosen to the U.S. Women's Collegiate National Team—Anaheim roster.
Pukis joins prep standouts Mimi Colyer and Ayva Cebollero as recent additions to the UO roster.
