MARICOPA, Ariz. – Arizona Men's Golf used a 4-2-2 victory over Arizona State in the afternoon of Sunday's opener to the Copper Cup to take a 7-5 lead in points heading into Monday's finale at Ak Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club. The Wildcat quartet of Chaz Aurilia, Santeri Lehesmaa, Chase Sienkiewicz and Johnny Walker earned the wins in match play following the two teams' split of the morning action.
"I was proud of how our entire lineup competed throughout a long day on the course," said head coach Jim Anderson. "To start a new year off with this level of quality golf is a testament to our program's preparation and execution of our plan.
