Rotsaert, Sridhar Win Doubles Crown at Sherwood Championships

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Returning to the court to open the spring campaign, the doubles pair of Alexandre Rotsaert and Sangeet Sridhar won the doubles title at the Sherwood Championships. Stanford's student-athletes in attendance faced off against UCLA, USC and Texas A&M.

The pair of Rotsaert and Sridhar went 3-0, taking out UCLA's Wild/Lee, USC's Baretto/Colby and Texas A&M's Abbrat/Marson. They were the only Stanford pair to go a perfect 3-0 overall, while four other combinations picked up at least one victory.

In singles, Max Basing and Aryan Chaudhary went 2-0 apiece with wins over opponents from USC and Texas A&M, while seven players picked up at least one singles win. Axel Geller joined Basing and Chaudhary with ranked wins against USC, each taking down a top-100 opponent, while Rotsaert and Sridhar beat ranked opponents against Texas A&M.

Stanford's singles matches against UCLA were canceled due to adverse weather conditions.

The Cardinal returns to action at home on Friday, Jan. 21 with its first dual match of the spring, hosting Pepperdine at 2 p.m.
