Arizona Signee Maya Nnaji Named to McDonald's All-America Team

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona women's basketball signee Maya Nnaji has been named a McDonald's All-American, making her the second McDonald's All-American in program history joining Cate Reese.
 
The 6-4 Nnaji is already the highest-rated recruit in program history and is rated five stars by ESPN HoopGurlz Top 100. The Hopkins, Minn., native is ranked ninth nationally and the number three forward in her class.
 
Nnaji is a force inside as she averaged 19.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game as a sophomore and 24.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game as a junior. Following the 2021 season, Nnaji was named Minneapolis Star Tribune Metro Player of the year. She is also on the Naismith Girls High School Player of the Year Watchlist.
