Wrestling Hosts #25 Oregon State, MMA Night Sunday

TEMPE - No. 5 Arizona State is back home for a Sunday afternoon dual against No. 25 Oregon State.  The dual takes place at Desert Financial Arena (2 p.m MST/Pac-12 Arizona). ASU will be celebrating MMA Night and welcoming over 15 professional fighters to the building, including Bubba Jenkins, Henry Cejudo, Tito Ortiz and C.B. Dollaway.

  • ASU is coming off a 20-18 victory over Cal Poly and a 26-15 victory over CSU Bakersfield
  • ASU earned wins 125 Brandon Courtney, 133 Michael McGee,  149 Kyle Parco, 157 Jacori Teemer, 197 Kordell Norfleet, and HWT Cohlton Schultz against Cal Poly.
  • Jacori Teemer moved to 12-0. with 2 wins over Cal Poly's Brawley Lamer with four takedowns by Teemer
  • Norfleet won on a 5-2 decision against Cal Poly's Trent Tracy

  • Anthony Valencia and Cohlton Schultz are on international duty this week. Valencia competes Friday in Guadalajara, Mexico as he continues shooting for the Mexican national team. Schultz is with USA Wrestling in Zagreb, Croatia wrestling Greco-Roman.
  • Two Sun Devils remain undefeated: No. 3 Teemer is 12-0 at 157 and heavyweight  No. 2Cohlton Schultz is 12-0.
  • Michael McGee leads the team with five tech fall victories.
  • ASU's starters have combined for 23 major decisions, 19 wins-by-fall, and 11 tech fall victories.
