GymCats Earn 195.125 at No. 24 UCLA

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Arizona posted a 195.125 and a season high 49.050 on floor against the Bruins.
 
Jessica Castles, Alysen Fears, Sirena Linton, and Emily Mueller all earned season high scores.
 
Uneven Bars
The GymCats opened the meet on bars with a 48.825. Mueller opened the event with a 9.75. Linton and Elena Deets followed with a pair of 9.70's. Bailey McCabe tied her season best of 9.825 and Alysen Fears anchored and tied her season high of 9.85. Fears finished in second and McCabe took home third place on the event.
 
Vault
On vault, Arizona posted a 48.750. Castles posted a season best 9.825 to lead the GymCats on the event. Mueller and Danielle Nosek each scored 9.775 and Fears earned a 9.75. Castles' 9.825 was good for a fourth place finish.
 
Floor Exercise
The GymCats earned a season high floor score with a 49.050. Every GymCat earned a 9.725 or higher to help push Arizona to their best score of the season on the event. Caroline Herry tied her career high with a 9.875 to pace Arizona and finished in second place. Malia Hargrove posted a 9.85 to tie her season high and take home third. Fears earned a 9.80, Libby Orman scored a 9.775, and Castles posted a 9.75.
 
Balance Beam
Arizona finished the meet on beam with a 48.500. Mueller impressed once again with a career high 9.90 and second place on beam. Fears followed with a 9.85 to tie her season high and Linton earned a 9.825.
 
All-Around
Fears, Hargrove, and Mueller competed in the all-around for the GymCats. The last time Arizona had three gymnasts in the all-around was against Utah in 2013. Fears earned a season best 39.250 to finish in third place in the all-around. Mueller posted a season high 39.150 for a fifth-place finish.
