Beavers Fall To Utes In Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Oregon State was toppled by Utah, 84-59, on Thursday evening at the Huntsman Center.
 
Roman Silva continued his strong play as he led the Beavers (3-16, 1-8 Pac-12) with 12 points and eight rebounds.
 
Jarod Lucas also scored 12 points and Maurice Calloo was the other Oregon State player in double figures with 11 points. Calloo got the start in place of Warith Alatishe, who was limited to five minutes due to knee issues.
 
Dexter Akanno and Glenn Taylor Jr. scored seven points apiece. Dashawn Davis, who entered the game as the Pac-12 leader in assists, finished with five points, four rebounds and five dimes.
 
Five players scored in double figures for Utah (9-14, 2-11 Pac-12), led by 15 points from Lazar Stefanovic.
 
The Utes hit 15 3-pointers, the most by an Oregon State opponent this season.
 
Oregon State completes its trip to the Mountain schools when it takes on Colorado at 3 p.m. PT on Saturday. The game will be televised nationally on FS1.
