2022 Previews: Outfield

Feb 6, 2022

SEATTLE, Wash. -- Led by senior Sami Reynolds, the outfield is a position group that carries experience and depth that will ensure continued success in the 2022 season.

Consistent as they come, Reynolds improved in her junior season by adding a power element to her game and hitting 12 homers. She also held a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in the outfield and was named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team and All-Region First Team. Needless to say, she will be a force to be reckoned with in her final season at Washington.

Jadelyn Allchin and Lilly Agan will also contribute with veteran leadership in the outfield.

Agan, the sophomore out of Newnan, Georgia, will step up this season and provide the Huskies with consistency and a spark in the outfield. With a batting average of .302 last season, Agan will work to build off of those numbers in 2022.

Junior Jadelyn Allchin, the record holder for most hits in a Husky's first five career games, has proved herself in this Washington lineup from day one. With a batting average of .301 and a .933 fielding percentage, Allchin comes into the 2022 season with a foundation for success.

Madison Huskey is entering her fourth year in the purple and gold. Huskey hit a career high .299 in her junior campaign, playing in 35 games and setting a career-high with 18 RBI. Of her five home runs last year, four came in two games as she had multi-HR games against Southern Utah and Hawai'i. She will also be utilized in the outfield this season for the Dawgs.

Sarah Willis will also be an impact player for Washington this season. Willis, when not pitching, is set to provide the Huskies with continued help in the outfield. Willis had a .250 batting average in 2021 and 17 RBI.

The Huskies are stacked in the outfield with not only depth and experience, but a youth and energy that will be essential for the season ahead.
