Cambere, Hyde Earn ASUN Players of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. – The University of Utah Lacrosse program swept the ASUN Player of the Week awards today after their strong outing against the No. 12 Denver Pioneers on Saturday with Samuel Cambere and Jordan Hyde earning defensive and offensive recognition.

Hyde, a sophomore out of Bloomsfield Hills, Mich., led the Utes in scoring against Denver with a game-high four goals with one assist, giving him a team-best five points. His four goals against the Pioneers is the second-most by a player in the ASUN this season.

He scored Utah's first two goals of the season in the first quarter of the game, giving Utah a 2-1 lead with 11:47 on the clock. He also scored two goals in the fourth quarter, including his final goal that made it a one-point game with 8:45 to go.

Cambere was integral in Utah's offensive and defensive performance on Saturday, turning in a team-high five ground balls and three caused turnovers. The junior out of Flower Mound, Texas, also had a goal and an assist for two points, scoring his goal with 4:42 to go in the third quarter to give the Utes a 10-8 lead.
