UCLA Announces 2022 Women's Beach Volleyball Schedule

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA Women's Beach Volleyball team announced its 2022 schedule today, highlighted by hosting three regular-season tournaments (two at Mapes Beach and one at legendary Manhattan Beach Pier) and "Senior Day" against Loyola Marymount. The Bruins will have eight duals televised by the Pac-12 Networks. In addition to the aforementioned eight duals, the Pac-12 Networks will also televise all rounds of the Pac-12 Championship (April 28-30).

The Bruins will compete in eight different regular-season tournaments during the year, beginning with the season opener against Stanford on Friday, Feb. 25, at 12:00 p.m. PT at Heineken Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic at Queen's Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Bruins will also face Saint Mary's and Hawai'i in the opening weekend. 

UCLA will return home to host the First Annual Battle for LA at Mapes Beach on March 5-6, where the Bruins will face USC, Long Beach State, Grand Canyon, and Cal Poly. The Trojans will be the Bruins' home opening dual on Saturday, March 5 at 10:00 a.m. PT.

After a week off for 10th week, the Bruins will head to Gulf Shores, Ala., for the March to May tournament. There the Bruins will face six tops teams from the East March 18-20. UCLA will face Florida Atlantic, Florida State, Georgia State, Tulane, UAB, and LSU Gulf Beach Place, the site of the NCAA Championship.

The following weekend UCLA will compete in the Pac-12 South Invitational at Bear Down Beach on March 26-27. UCLA will square off with Utah, Stanford, and Arizona in Tucson, Ariz.

The Bruins will return home to host TCU and Hawai'i on Thursday, March 31 in the Mapes Beach Invitational.

Iconic Manhattan Beach Pier will be the Bruins' next stop as they will host the UCLA Invitational on April 2-3. The Bruins will face Florida International, TCU, and LSU in what was formerly known as the East Meets West Invitational.

The Bruins will hit the road again for the Pac-12 North Invitational, hosted by the Stanford Cardinal on April 9-10. UCLA will take on California, Arizona State, Oregon, and Washington at Stanford's Beach Volleyball Stadium.

Then it is on to San Luis Obispo for the Center of Effort Challenge at Cal Poly's Swanson Beach Volleyball Complex on April 15-16. Top teams will again be at the tournament where UCLA will square off with Florida State, Loyola Marymount, Cal Poly, and USC.

The Bruins will then host Loyola Marymount on Wednesday, April 20, at 4:00 p.m. PT on "Senior Day."

UCLA will close out the regular season in a dual at USC on Saturday, April 23 at 12:00 p.m. PT.

Arizona will host the 2022 Pac-12 Championship on Apr. 28-30. Gulf Shores, Ala., will again be the site of the 2022 NCAA Championship on May 6-8. The NCAA Championship bracket has expanded to 16 teams. More information to come at a later date.
