USC's Cole Paxson Named MPSF Men's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week

LOS ANGELES—Graduate libero Cole Paxson was named the MPSF Defensive Player of the Week after his outstanding performances in USC's two 3-0 victories last week over No. 8 UC Santa Barbara and Cal State Northridge.
This is Paxson's third career weekly honor, and second time being selected as the Defensive Player of the Week this season.
USC now has had players earn weekly conference honors four times in the 2022 season.
On Feb 9, Paxson picked up a 2022 MPSF season-high 17 digs (5.67 D/S) in just three sets against UCSB. On Feb. 10, he tallied eight more digs (2.67 D/S) against CSUN. Paxson was also a perfect 28-for-28 passing on serve-receive for the week.
