Sand Devils To Hold Maroon And Gold On Monday

TEMPE, Ariz.— To begin the 2022 season, Sun Devil Beach Volleyball will be hosting its annual Maroon and Gold Scrimmage at the brand new Sun Devil Beach Volleyball Facility on Monday at 6 p.m. MST. 

The Sand Devils will preview the 2022 squad in the scrimmage in the new facility, giving fans their first chance to see the new courts themselves. The facility is located just east of Farrington Softball Stadium, outside of its outfield. 

The event is free and open to the public and those attending are encouraged to bring their own chairs. It will be held at the Sun Devil Beach Volleyball Facility in Tempe. Fans not attending can follow along on Twitter and Instagram, @SunDevilBeachVB.

Head Coach Brad Keenan returns for his sixth season coaching the Sun Devils. Keenan led the 2021 roster to a 10-12 record and signature wins over No. 11 Cal, Washington and Utah. 

The 2022 roster has fifteen athletes returning from the 2021 season. Among them are  fifth year senior Cierra Flood and junior Sarah Waters. The two led the team in wins with 12 each. Six freshmen join the 2022 roster including Anya Pemberton, Rylie Kael, Katie Blomberg, Kylie Wickley, Kaitlyn Winkleman and Lillie Seymour.
