Men's Golf Competes In The Prestige Beginning Monday

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State men's golf team continues its spring season when opening at The Prestige in La Quinta, Calif., on Monday.
 
The three-day event is the Beavers' second of the month after competing in the Amer Ari Invitational in Hawai'i from Feb. 3-5.
 
The Prestige is being co-hosted by UC Davis and Stanford.
 
Oregon State last competed in the event last season, finishing tied for 10th in a 24-team field. Carson Barry leads all OSU returners from that competition, finishing in a tie for 36th at 5-over par. He finished with 38 pars over three days, leading all OSU competitors.
 
FIELD (30): Oregon State, UC Davis, Stanford, Pepperdine, Cal Poly, Colorado State, Denver, Fairleigh Dickinson, Fraser Valley, Iowa State, Kansas, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, LSU, North Texas, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Princeton, San Diego State, San Francisco, San Jose State, Santa Clara, SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech, UCLA, Vanderbilt and Washington.
 
COURSE: The tournament will be held at the par-71, 7,100-yard Greg Norman Course at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif.
 
BEAVERS' LINEUP: Oregon State's lineup will consist of Brandon Eyre, Jackson Lake, Nolan Thoroughgood, Mateo Fuenmayor and Carson Barry.
 
FORMAT: Three-day, 54-hole tournament with 18 holes each on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The top-four individuals from each five-member team with the lowest scores for each 18-hole round constitute the scoring members for that given round.
 
TEE TIMES: The tournament will run via tee times each day. The Beavers tee off starting at 7:40 a.m. PT on Monday.
