Oregon State-Xavier Series Finale Game Time Change Announced

SURPRISE, Ariz. – Oregon State baseball's game with Xavier Saturday at Surprise Stadium, which closes out the Beavers' trip to Arizona, has been moved to 12 p.m. PT (1 p.m. in Arizona) start.
 
The teams will now play three consecutive games at 12 p.m., starting Thursday.
 
Oregon State is 4-0 on the year after taking two games apiece from Gonzaga and New Mexico this past weekend. The Beavers scored 56 runs, the team's most through the first four games of a season since the 1985 club also scored 56.
 
OSU ranks second nationally for runs scored and hits (57), and the Beavers are fourth with a .519 on-base percentage. TJ Wheeler is third nationally with 10 runs batted in, with Travis Bazzana tied for second with two triples. Jacob Melton is one off the national lead with nine hits through the first four games of the season.
 
The Beavers picked up six spots in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) rankings, and stand at No. 12. OSU is also 12th by Baseball America, 14th by D1Baseball.com and 19th by Collegiate Baseball.
