Men's Swimming Posts Two New Personal-Bests on Second Day of Pac-12's

FEDERAL WAY, Wash.- Utah men's swimming continued competition at the second day of the conference championships on Thursday inside the Weyerhaeuser King Aquatic Center.

Junior Nick Becker kicked off the night of finals races placing 23rd in the 500 free with a time of 4:27.26. In the next event, sophomore Ryan Garstang was the only Ute in the 200 IM and recorded a new personal-best of 1:48.92 in the prelims and posted a time of 1:50.06 to take home 24th overall.   

Junior Finn O'Haimhirgin secured a top-20 finish in the 50 free, touching in a personal-best time of 19.70 (NCAA B time) for the 18th-place finish.

The Pac-12 Championships continue tomorrow with the 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast and 100 back prelims starting at 12:00pm MT. The finals will begin at 7:00pm MT and can be seen live on Pac-12.com or the Pac-12 Now app.
