Oregon Struggles in Loss to Washington

Mar 3, 2022

SEATTLE — Oregon men's basketball got behind in the first half and was not able to recover, falling 78-67 to Washington on Thursday night.

How It Happened: The Ducks hung tough early in the first half and got out to a 15-10 lead at the 11-minute mark. Oregon struggled from there and let Washington close the half on a 13-3 run behind 14 first half points from Terrell Brown Jr. UO finished the half shooting just 27 percent from the field. De'Vion Harmon was a bright spot with 10 points in the half.

Washington continued to build momentum in the second half, starting on a 13-2 run that put Oregon down 20 at the 15-minute mark of the half. The Huskies eventually pushed the lead to as many as 23 points in the second half, before the Ducks showed a little fight and closed the deficit to 11. The effort turned out to be too little, too late as UW snapped a six-game losing streak to Oregon.

Up Next: The Ducks close out regular season play on Saturday in Pullman, facing Washington State at 1:00 p.m. PT on CBS.
