NCAA Announces 2022 Wrestling Brackets

INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA announced brackets for the 2022 wrestling championships, set for March 17-19 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Mich.
 
Oregon State is sending eight wrestlers to the NCAA Championships, its most since the 2012 season. The Beavers' eight are also the most from the Pac-12 Conference this season.
 
Here's where the Beavers are seeded for the opening day of action in Detroit.
 
125 – Brandon Kaylor – seeded No. 11 versus Pennyslvania's Ryan Miller
133 – Devan Turner – seeded No. 11 versus Rutgers' Joe Olivieri
141 – Grant Willits – seeded No. 8 versus Oklahoma State's Carter Young
149 – Cory Crooks – seeded No. 27 versus Appalachian State's Jonathan Millner
157 – Hunter Willits – seeded No. 17 versus Penn State's Brady Berge
165 – Matthew Olguin – seeded No. 33 versus Northwestern's David Ferrante
184 – Trey Munoz – seeded No. 6 versus Oklahoma's Keegan Moore
HWT – Gary Traub – seeded No. 11 versus South Dakota State's AJ Nevills
 
Additionally, Ryan Reyes has been named an alternate at 197 pounds.
 
None of Oregon State's entries have competed against their first-round opponents this season.
