Arizona Earns 196.300 at BYU

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona posted a 196.300 at BYU in the regular season finale. Three GymCats earned career high scores and Caroline Herry won first place on beam with a  9.90.  

"I'm very proud of how we competed at BYU today," said head coach John Court. "There were many strong and meet-saving routines this afternoon. The team has been passionate and gritty the last two meets and its showing in the end result. Caroline and Malia were amazing today by setting career highs and Sirena was clutch in the beam anchor spot for us."

Uneven Bars
Arizona opened the meet with a 49.100 on bars, tying BYU who scored a 49.100 on vault. Emily Mueller and MacKinzie Kane opened the rotation with back-to-back 9.80s. Alysen Fears and Malia Hargrove both posted 9.875, with Hargrove earning a career high.
 
Vault
On vault, the GymCats scored a 48.925. Emily Mueller, Malia Hargrove, and Caroline Herry each earned 9.825s.
 
Floor Exercise
Arizona posted a 49.325 on floor, the third-highest floor score of the season for the GymCats. Libby Orman scored a 9.825 as the lead off. Elena Deets also posted a 9.825 and Alysen Fears earned a 9.85. Hargrove scored a 9.875 and Herry posted a career best 9.95 to win the event.  
 
Balance Beam
The GymCats scored a 48.950 on beam in the final rotation. Halli Mayberry made her beam debut with a 9.825. Hargrove and Sirena Linton each posted 9.875. Herry tied her career high with a 9.90 and tied for first place.
 
All-Around
Hargrove and Mueller competed in the all-around for the GymCats. Hargrove took home second place with a 39.450.
