Mar 13, 2022

LOS ANGELES — USC is headed back to the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament.

The Trojans earned a 7-seed in the NCAA Tournament and will face 10-seed Miami (FL) in Greenville, SC in the Midwest region on Friday.

The game will tip off at 12:10 p.m. PT/3:10 p.m. ET on truTV at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Jim Nantz, Bill Raftery, Grant Hill and Tracy Wolfson will call the action.

This is USC's second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and the Trojans' 19th overall. Head coach Andy Enfield, who signed a contract extension through the 2027-28 season, has led USC to four tournament appearances, the most out of any coach in school history.

Eleven players from last year's Elite Eight run — Max Agbonkpolo, Ethan Anderson, Boubacar Coulibaly, Reese Dixon-Waters, Chevez Goodwin, Isaiah Mobley, Joshua Morgan, Reggie Parris, Drew Peterson, Amar Ross and Isaiah White — returned this season.

Making their NCAA Tournament debuts for USC are Zach Brooker, Harrison Hornery, Boogie Ellis, Kobe Johnson and Malik Thomas.

The Trojans will begin their tournament run in South Carolina, Goodwin's home state. The redshirt senior captain is a Columbia native and attended Hammond School.

USC is 26-7 (14-6 Pac-12), tied for the most wins in school history with the 2016-17 team (26-10). USC also set the team record for most wins in a regular season (25).

USC has won a school-record 73 games over the last three seasons (22 in 2020, 25 in 2021 and 26 in 2022). The previous school record for wins in three consecutive seasons was 71 (2016-18). The three consecutive seasons of 20+ wins also equals the school record for most consecutive 20-win seasons set from 2016-18.
