CORVALLIS -- Very little went in the way of Sun Devil Baseball as it dropped its Pac-12 opener on the road at #3 Oregon State on Friday night in Corvallis, 21-0.
The Sun Devils had just two hits on the night and watched the Beavers put up a crooked number in each of the first five innings - batting around the order four times by the end of the fourth inning.
Dominic Cacchione was the lone Sun Devil pitcher to not allow a run on the night, giving ASU one of its two scoreless innings on the night. Blake Pivaroff added another, giving ASU 2.0 innings of relief with a run allowed.
The Devils return to action looking to shake off the tough start tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 p.m. AZT.
