STANFORD, Calif. – Returning to action following an 11-day break, No. 9 men's tennis defeated San Francisco, 6-1, on Tuesday afternoon at Taube Family Tennis Center. The Cardinal improves to 11-2 this fall.

The Cardinal worked its way to an expeditious doubles point, winning 6-1 on court two from Tomas Kopczynski and Timothy Sah, and 6-3 on court one from the ranked tandem of Axel Geller and Arthur Fery.

Alexandre Rotsaert and Geller rolled to decisive victories in straight sets on courts four and two, respectively, while Fery clinched the match on court one, 6-3, 6-1, for his fourth clinching point of the spring. Sangeet Sridhar pushed the lead to 5-0 moments later on court six, and Max Basing added a three-set tally to close out Stanford's scoring.

Stanford returns to Pac-12 play on Friday, March 25 at No. 14 USC. The action gets underway at 3 p.m.
