Four Bruin Gymnasts Earn All-Pac-12 Honors

UCLA gymnasts Chae Campbell, Jordan Chiles, Norah Flatley and Emma Malabuyo combined to earn a total of six All-Pac-12 honors in 2022.
 
Campbell earned first-team honors on vault for the second year in a row. The 2021 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year finished the regular season ranked 15th nationally on vault with a national qualifying score (NQS) of 9.915. Her season average of 9.903 is the fourth-highest in the nation. Campbell earned two perfect scores of 9.950 on the event this month.
 
Chiles, a 2020 Olympic silver medalist, earned the most all-conference nods for the Bruins, totaling three. She was a first-team honoree on uneven bars and floor exercise and an honorable mention selection on vault. Chiles ranks 18th nationally on uneven bars with a 9.925 NQS. She scored a perfect 10 on Feb. 12 and averages 9.840. On floor exercise, she has scored a pair of perfect 10s (Feb. 4 and Mar. 6) and is ranked 23rd nationally with a 9.925 NQS and a 9.900 overall average. Chiles has scored 9.850 or better on nine of her 10 vaults this season, including four 9.900s.
 
Flatley received her fourth career all-conference honor and first first-team selection on uneven bars. The senior leads the Bruin team with a 9.895 season average and is ranked 24th nationally with a NQS of 9.920. She has a season-high of 9.950 and a career-high of 9.975 on the event.
 
Malabuyo, a 2020 U.S. Olympic alternate, earned honorable mention acclaim on balance beam. She ranks 25th nationally with a 9.910 NQS and scored a perfect 10 on beam on Mar. 12.
 
The All-Pac-12 First Team consists of the top six all-around performers, and top six performers in each individual event (including ties) based on national qualifying scores. All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention consists of seventh- and eighth-place performances in each individual event and the all-around (including ties) based on national qualifying scores.
