STANFORD, Calif. - No. 19 Stanford rebounded from a rare home loss to remain unbeaten in conference play, defeating No. 17 USC 5-2 on Friday afternoon at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

Stanford (10-3, 4-0 Pac-12) claimed the doubles point before producing four straight-set victories in singles, collecting another conference victory during its homestand.

The Cardinal, which suffered a 4-3 loss to UC Santa Barbara on Tuesday, rebounded against the Trojans (10-9, 3-2 Pac-12) and has now won 87 of its last 93 matches on The Farm.

Leading 1-0, Stanford extended its lead after Angelica Blake cruised to a 6-4, 6-3 win at the No. 2 spot.

USC picked up a point on court four, but the Cardinal regained momentum thanks to victories from Sara Choy (6-2, 6-4) at No. 6 and the clincher from Valencia Xu (6-4, 6-1) at No. 5.

After the Trojans secured another match, Connie Ma rounded out the victory with a 6-4, 7-6 (4) triumph at the top spot.
