LOS ANGELES - No. 1 Stanford received hat tricks from Makenzie Fischer, Ryann Neushul and Sophie Wallace in an 11-9 victory over No. 2 UCLA on Saturday afternoon in a matchup of the nation's top programs.

Stanford (14-1, 2-0 MPSF) has won 10 in a row and will hold on to its No. 1 ranking for a fifth straight week when the poll is announced next week.

The Cardinal also picked up its second victory this season against UCLA (21-2, 3-1 MPSF), having defeated the Bruins 12-9 in the championship game of the Barbara Kalbus Invitational back on Feb. 27.

Playing only its fourth game this month, Stanford looked sharp throughout and was balanced offensively while the defense limited Bruin standout Maddie Musselman to only one goal on shot shots.

Neushul and Wallace led the Cardinal with five shots apiece, as each team registered 27 attempts overall.

Stanford took its first lead at 3-2 when Makenzie Fischer converted a penalty shot to close out the first period.

Tied 4-4, the Cardinal received back-to-back goals from Katie Lyons and Wallace to secure a 6-4 lead at intermission.

Wallace's second goal of the match gave the Cardinal its largest advantage at 8-5 with 1:45 left to play in the third period.

After UCLA evened it up at 8-8, Stanford scored three times over the next four minutes to close it out.

Maya Avital finished with seven saves in goal.

Stanford will play five of its final six games at home, beginning with an April 2 matchup against USC at Avery Aquatic Center.
