USC’s Jackson Rivera Records First Top 10 Finish To Wrap Up Valspar Collegiate Invitational

Freshman Jackson Rivera posted a career best finish tied for sixth at 1-under 71 while leading the USC men's golf team during the 18-hole final round of the Valspar Collegiate Invitational at The Floridian Golf Club on Tuesday (March 29) in Palm City, Fla.
The Trojans combined for a three-round 14-over 866 (283-293-290). Pepperdine took the invitational at 34-under 818.
Rivera, who managed his eighth round of par better in his last nine outings, was USC's highest finisher for the 7th time this season, recording his first top-10 finish. In a final round that started on 15, the freshman posted a 70, with a three round 9-under 204 (66-68-70).
Sophomore Krando Nishiba tied for 63rd, with a three round 8-over 221 (78-72-71).
