Senior Day Shutout

STANFORD, Calif. - No. 17 Stanford closed out its final home match with a 7-0 shutout of No. 75 Hawai'i on Wednesday afternoon at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

Stanford (11-3, 4-0 Pac-12) won its second straight match, breezing past Hawai'i (8-3-3, 5-0 Big West) with strong play in doubles and singles.

The Cardinal has won 88 of its last 94 matches on The Farm and improved to 10-1 at home this season.

After capturing the doubles point, Sara Choy (6-1, 6-0) and Alexandra Yepifanova (6-4, 6-0) put Stanford on the brink of clinching.

Connie Ma made it official with a 6-2, 6-0 victory at the top spot of the lineup.

Stanford honored Choy and Niluka Madurawe in a pregame Senior Day ceremony. Choy and Madurawe helped guide the Cardinal to its most recent NCAA title in 2019.

Up next for the Cardinal is a road trip to the desert, facing Arizona on Friday, April 1, at 11 a.m. PT.
