UW Men Set To Host OSU & Stanford Saturday On Montlake Cut

The Washington men's rowing team continues the 2022 season with a first of two busy weekends in a row.
 
This Saturday on Montlake Cut, Husky men will row head-to-head vs. Pac-12 rivals Oregon State and Stanford, and also in a couple of other events at the Husky Open, an event that also includes women's events (the UW women will not be racing this weekend), and races for men's and women's juniors and masters.
 
Here is the schedule of events ONLY for races involving Washington:
 
8:04 a.m. – Varsity 4+ (UW, Lewis & Clark, Puget Sound, Seattle U)
8:12 a.m. – Third Varsity 8+ and Freshman 8+ (UW 3V8+ and F8+, UC Irvine, UBC)
8:20 a.m. – Second Varsity 8+ (UW vs. Stanford)
8:28 a.m. – Varsity 8+ (UW vs. Stanford

9:02 a.m. – Varsity 4+ (UW, Oregon State, UC Irvine, Western Washington)
9:10 a.m. – Third Varsity 8+ and Freshman 8+ (UW 3V8+, UW F8+, Oregon State, Western Washington
9:18 a.m. – Second Varsity 8+ (UW vs. Oregon State)
9:26 a.m. –Varsity 8+ (UW vs. Oregon State)

With just a couple of exceptions, the same athletes who compete in the first four races will also row in the second wave of races.
 
The following weekend, the Husky men will travel to the Bay Area to compete at two separate venues on both Saturday and Sunday. The Huskies will race against Syracuse and Northeastern on Saturday, and Boston University and Wisconsin on Sunday at the Pac-12 Invitational at Redwood Shores while other crews will compete vs. Santa Clara, UC San Diego, and the University of San Diego on the Oakland Estuary at the Ebright Invitational, also Saturday and Sunday.
