SEATTLE – Stanford finished its 2022 season in Seattle with a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Regional Championships, scoring the program's second-best total of the year, 197.250.

With its efforts Saturday, the Cardinal finish the 2022 campaign ranked 14th in the nation, up 38 spots from its 2021 standing. 

Super senior Kyla Bryant will head to the 2022 NCAA Championships as an individual qualifier, competing on floor after her back-to-back 9.95 performances on Thursday and Saturday (Thursday's effort qualified her for the national championship meet). 

The program's final two meets of the season were its best, scoring 197.450 and 197.250, marking the first time Stanford has scored back-to-back 197's since the 2015 season. 

The Cardinal started on beam for the second-straight meet. Freshman Anapaula Gutierrez led off with a career-best matching 9.85, and after a fall, fellow freshman Brenna Neault gave an incredible 9.875 performance to put the team back on track. Bryant followed with a 9.80, and junior Chloe Widner marked her fourth consecutive score of 9.90-or-better with a 9.90 in the five spot. Super senior Taylor Lawson anchored with a 9.85 for a team total of 49.275, matching the Cardinal's second-best effort of the 2022 season.

Stanford continued its early success with a strong floor rotation, going 49.450 as a team led by Bryant's 9.95. Gutierrez went 9.875 in the two spot, followed by a 9.85 from Brunette and a 9.875 from senior Morgan Hoang. As a duo, Lawson and Bryant closed the rotation with scores of 9.90-or-better for the fifth time this season.

The Cardinal set a new team-best score on vault for the second straight meet, totaling a 49.300 with all counted scores of 9.800-or-better. Gutierrez recorded a career-best 9.925 on vault in the three spot and was followed by vaults from Neault and Brunette that scored 9.875 and 9.850, respectively. Neault's effort marked a career-best performance by .05. Bryant finished the rotation with a 9.85, her ninth vault scoring 9.85-or-better this season. 

Stanford ended its night on bars, scoring a 49.225 with four scores of 9.85 and two more above 9.80. 

With the team's season complete, Bryant heads to Fort Worth, Texas April 14-16 to compete on floor at the NCAA Championships.
