Three Bruins Head to Napa to Compete at Silverado Showdown

LOS ANGELES – The No. 15 UCLA women's golf team will send three individuals to compete at the Silverado Showdown in Napa, Calif., beginning tomorrow April 4 and ending April 6. The 54-hole, stroke play event hosted on the Silverado Resort North Course is a par-72 with a course yardage of 6,192 yards.
 
The same course also hosted other PGA Tour and Champions Tour events dating back to 1977. PGA's Fortinet Championship in September. The earliest tee times Monday are 7:45 a.m. PT (running through to 10:06 a.m. PT).

All 11 Pac-12 Conference programs will be in attendance along with No. 5 San Jose State, No. 11 Texas A&M, BYU, Iowa State, Northwestern, San Diego State and TCU.
 
The Bruins' three individual competitors are Emilie Paltrinieri, Annabel Wilson and Yuki Yoshihara.
 
Paltrinieri is coming off her first under-par and top-10 performance of the season at the PING/ASU Invitational last week, posting a 3-under 213. Paltrinieri has posted all three of her top-20 finishes in the Bruins' last three tournaments.
 
This will be Wilson and Yoshihara's first competition in over a month since competing at The Gold Rush on Feb. 28 through March 1.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Junior Emma Spitz – who tied for 14th at the Augusta National Women's Amateur on Saturday – notched her second runner-up finish of the season at the PING/ASU Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz., with a 7-under 209. It was Spitz' second time this season ending all three rounds under par.
 
With the help of Paltrinieri's low score, UCLA tied for fifth at 1-under 863.
