Two Coug Golfers Sit Inside Top-50 at the End of Day One of the Silverado Showdown

NAPA, Calif. – The Washington State women's golf team ended the first round of the 2022 Silverado Showdown Monday, April 4, with two golfers sitting inside the top-50 on the player leaderboard.

Junior Jiye Ham ended the first round at 4-over; 76 to end her day in a tie for 43rd. Ham shot even-par on 14 holes on Monday, which was tied for the third-most pars collected in the first round by an individual golfer.

Senior Darcy Habgood finished one stroke behind Ham, as the Australian native ended the first round at 5-over; 77. Habgood opens Tuesday's second round sitting in a tie for 49th on the player leaderboard.

Washington State ended the first round with a team score of 311 (+23); The Cougars will begin play on Tuesday in 16th on the team leaderboard.

San Jose State holds a one-stroke lead over Oregon after 18 holes of play at the 2022 Silverado Showdown. The Spartans carded 1-under; 287 in the first round. SJSU's Antonia Malate, Texas A&M's Hailee Cooper, and Arizona State's Alessandra Fanali sit in a three-way tie for first place on the player leaderboard with a score of 3-under; 69.
