Morlet Named Pac-12 Player of the Week
TEMPE, Ariz. – Sophomore Giulia Morlet was named the Pac-12 Women's Tennis Player of the Week after her pair of wins over ranked singles opponents helped the Sun Devils defeat No. 12 Cal and No. 17 Stanford on consecutive days.
Morlet beat Cal's Haley Giavara (No. 101) 6-2, 7-6, on April 1 and followed up with a 7-5, 6-4, win over Stanford's Connie Ma (No. 13) the next day. She handed Ma her second loss of the season and her first since January 29, snapping her streak of 12 consecutive singles victories.
The Paris native was instrumental in downing both the Golden Bears and Cardinal in the same season for the first time in program history.

It's the first conference player of the week honors for Morlet, who in her second season in Tempe has occupied Court 1 in each of the Sun Devils' 17 matches this spring.
After a red-hot weekend, the Sun Devils are back on the road this week to visit two more Pac-12 opponents against Colorado (Friday, April 8, 12 p.m. MST) and Utah (Sunday, April 10, 12:30 p.m. MST).
