Ducks Downed by Huskies

SEATTLE – Oregon men's tennis fell on the road to Washington today by a score of 4-0. It's the first match of a three-match road trip, with the Ducks heading to California to face Cal and Stanford this weekend.   
 
How it Happened: Oregon fell behind early after a slow start in doubles. Washington took the doubles point with a pair of 6-2 wins on courts one and two. Luke Vandecasteele and Ryoma Matsushita were in a battle when the point was secured, trailing 4-3.
 
The second point of the day came from a 6-2, 6-0 loss on court one, while Quinn Vandecasteele and Ivailo Keremedchiev each won their first sets in singles. Things otherwise went the Huskies way this afternoon, as UW picked up the third point on court six. The fourth and deciding point was a 6-2, 6-4 win for Cesar Bouchelaghem over Luke Vandecasteele on court five.
 
Up Next: Oregon stays on the road and faces Cal in Berkely on Friday at 1:30 p.m., and Stanford at noon on Saturday.
