Apr 6, 2022

LOS ANGELES – The USC women's rowing team travels to Lake Las Vegas this weekend (Apr. 9-10) to race in the 2022 Pac-12 Women's Invitational.

This is the second time this season the Women of Troy have traveled to Lake Las Vegas. Last month, USC competed in the Lake Las Vegas Invitational, and the Trojans defeated then No. 3 ranked Washington's Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Four crews.

The last time USC competed in the Pac-12 Invitational was April of 2021. The Women of Troy took on crews from California, Washington State, Alabama and University of San Diego. USC most notably placed second in the Varsity Eight, nine seconds behind California on the first day of racing.

On Saturday (Apr. 9), USC will compete against No. 15 Pennsylvania, No. 4 Stanford and SMU. USC has yet to race Pennsylvania, Stanford or SMU this season.

The last time USC women's rowing challenged Pac-12 foe Stanford was in the 2021 Pac-12 Championship, where Stanford placed second in the Varsity Eight, second in the Second Varsity Eight and first in the Varsity Four. The Women of Troy finished in seventh place at the 2021 Pac-12 Championship race.

USC will be entering Varsity 8+, Second Varsity 8+, Varsity 4+ and Second Varsity 4+boats in the competition this weekend.
