Rowing Heads to Las Vegas this Weekend for the Pac-12 Invitational

LAS VEGAS -- The Washington State rowing team is set to get back on the water this weekend, as the Cougars head to Las Vegas to compete in the Pac-12 Invitational. The two-day regatta gets started Saturday, April 9, on Lake Las Vegas and concludes Sunday, April 10.

This weekend's regatta will feature some of the nation's best rowing squads. No. 3 California, No. 4 Stanford, No. 8 Washington, No. 12 Southern Cal, No. 15 Penn, No. 18 Oregon State, and No. 19 Alabama will all be racing at the Pac-12 Invitational, along with UCLA, Clemson, Iowa, SMU, and the Cougars.

Washington State gets the two-day regatta started Saturday at 8:20 a.m. PT with the second varsity four race. The Cougs will be racing against No. 4 Stanford, No. 8 Washington, and SMU in their first 2v4+ race of the weekend. WSU wraps up Saturday against No. 8 Washington, Iowa, and Clemson in the first varsity four, second varsity eight, and first varsity eight races. The 1V4+ race starts at 9:40 a.m. PT, while the 2V8+ begins at 10:40 a.m. PT. WSU concludes the first day of the Pac-12 Invitational at 11:40 a.m. PT with the 1V8+ race.

The Cougs will open Sunday's slate of racing with the 2V4+ at 8:40 a.m. PT. WSU will row against No. 3 California, No. 18 Oregon State, and Clemson in Sunday's first race. Washington State will then race against No. 8 Washington, No. 12 Southern Cal, and No. 19 Alabama for the remainder of Sunday's races. The 1V4+ is slated to begin at 9:20 a.m. PT, while the 2V8+ race starts at 10:20 a.m. PT. WSU ends the Pac-12 Invitational with the 1V8+ race at 11:20 a.m. PT.
