USC Beach Volleyball's Tina Graudina, Hailey Harward Repeat as Pac-12 Pair of the Week

Apr 12, 2022

SAN FRANCISCO Calif. – USC beach volleyball graduate athletes Tina Graudina (Jurmala, Latvia) and Hailey Harward (Phoenix, Ariz.) were named the Pac-12's Pair of the Week for the week of April 4-10, the Conference announced on Tuesday, April 12.

Graudina and Harward were also chosen for the Pac-12 Pair of the Week award on March 15. The Trojan duo went 4-0 without dropping a set in action at the Pac-12 North Invitational last weekend to become the second USC pair to reach the 20-win plateau and delivered the clinching point in two of the Trojans' duals. The pair has won 19 straight matches and has dropped just two sets during the incredible streak.

Playing at the No. 1 position as the Trojans' top pair, Graudina-Harward started the weekend off with a 21-7, 21-17 win over Charlie Ekstrom and Kate Reilly of No. 9-ranked host Stanford. They then took down Ava Mann and Ainsley Radell of 12th-ranked California, 21-8, 21-14. Graudina-Harward improved to 3-0 with a 21-16, 21-16 win over Alex Parkhurst and Alana Rennie of No. 17 Arizona; and completed the weekend sweep on a 24-22, 21-11 win over Oregon's No. 1 pair of Reagan Hope and Brooke Nuneviller.

Graudina earns her eighth-career Pac-12 Pair of the Week honor; and Harward her third. Graudina won once as a freshman in 2018 with Abril Bustamante and two more times with Bustamante as a sophomore in 2019. In 2021, she won the honor twice with Sammy Slater and once with Megan Kraft. Harward also won once in 2021 with Julia Scoles. It is the 25th time that a USC pair has been chosen for the award; the most all-time among Pac-12 schools.

The No. 1-ranked Women of Troy (23-1) have won 22 straight duals—the third-longest streak in program history—as they head into the Center of Effort Challenge in San Luis Obispo, Calif. USC takes on No. 6 Loyola Marymount and 13th-ranked host Cal Poly on Friday (April 15) and then meets No. 4 Florida State and No. 3 UCLA on Saturday (April 16) at the Swanson Beach Volleyball Complex.
