Huskies Travel to Utah for Final Pac-12 Road Trip

SEATTLE – The No. 9 Huskies hits the road for a final time during the regular season as they travel to Salt Lake City to face Utah in a three-game series this weekend.
 
All games will air on the Utah live stream. The first game of the series will air at 4 p.m. PT, while game two is at 1 p.m. PT and the Sunday series finale is set for an 11 a.m. PT first pitch.
 
Washington is on a season-high 11-game winning streak leading into the weekend and sits in third place in the Pac-12. On the season, the Huskies have an overall record of 33-11 and are 12-6 in conference play.
 
LEADERS OF THE PAC
The Huskies lead the conference in eight individual categories and one team category. Baylee Klingler sits on top of the Pac-12 stats in batting average (.450), home runs (21), RBI (63), RBI per game (1.43), slugging percentage (1.014) and total bases (142). Jenn Cummings leads the conference with 0.36 hit by pitches per game, while Gabbie Plain leads with nine shutouts on the season.
 
PLAIN AND SIMPLE
Gabbie Plain continues to rewrite the Husky record books in her fifth and final year. This season, she ranks third with 143 strikeouts in the Pac-12. The senior leads the Pac-12 with eight shutouts and fifth nationally, after recording two this past weekend at Oregon. Plain was tabbed Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time this season and the second consecutive nod for her. In total Plain has 14 career Pac-12 honors (11 Pitcher, three Freshman).
 
TOUGH SCHEDULE
Washington has compiled a tough schedule thus far with the 12th toughest strength of schedule in the NCAA. In the first 44 games, the Huskies have faced 12 Top 25 opponents and hold a record of 15-8. One of the two remaining series will see the Huskies face current USA Today/NFCA Top 25 opponent in No. 12 Arizona State (5/12-14).
 
AWARD SEASON
A pair of Huskies have been named finalists for two awards in the past couple of weeks. Gabbie Plain was recognized as one of 10 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award. Senior infielder Baylee Klingler was named as one of 10 finalists for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year.
 
ALL-TIME VS. UTAH
The Huskies are 36-7 all-time vs. Utah, dating back to 1993. In Salt Lake City, the Huskies hold the overall record at 8-3.
 
SCOUTING THE UTES
Utah sits at 24-24 on the season with a record of 6-12 in conference play. The Utes are led at the plate by Ellessa Bonstrom with a .393 batting average, 11 home runs and 39 RBI. Julia Jimenez leads the team with 47 RBI on the season.
 
Sydney Sandez leads the pitching staff with a 2.65 ERA and a record of 8-9 in 119 innings pitched.
