Huskies Fall in Game Two vs. Arizona State

May 13, 2022

SEATTLE – No. 10 Washington dropped a wild one to Arizona State in the second game of a three-game set Friday night at Husky Softball Stadium, 8-4.

Pat Moore started her first conference game of 2022 and gutted through three innings. She limited the fourth-ranked Sun Devils to just one run, a solo home run by Alynah Torres.

The Huskies (35-14, 14-9) got the run right back on a monster solo shot by Kinsey Fiedler. Her ninth home run of the year knotted the game at 1-1.

Kelley Lynch relieved Moore in the fourth inning. After surrendering a two-run single to Mailey McLemore, she kept the Sun Devils off the board through the sixth inning.

Down two in the sixth, the Huskies staged a dramatic two-out rally. Sami Reynolds knocked out Sun Devil starting pitcher Mac Morgan with a single to left, and Olivia Johnson followed her with a double. Jadelyn Allchin greeted new pitcher Lindsey Lopez with a towering three-run home run that gave the Huskies a 4-3 lead.

The Sun Devils rallied to plate five runs in the top half of the seventh inning, capped by a three-run home run for Cydney Sanders.

The Huskies wrap up the regular season with a Saturday matinee against Arizona State on Senior Day. First pitch is at 1 p.m. from Husky Softball Stadium.
