Manke, one of six players competing as an individual alongside 30 teams, was just three strokes outside of the top-10 in a tightly packed field at Grayhawk Golf Club, with much of the field still on the course having teed off in the afternoon.

On Saturday, Manke began his round on the back nine where, on Friday, he was 4-over after completing the front nine at even par. Saturday, however, he carded birdies on No. 12 and No. 16, along with a bogey on the par-3 13th, to finish his first nine holes at 1-under par.

After making the turn, Manke picked up another stroke with a birdie on the par-4 fourth hole, moving him to 2-under for the round and 2-over for the tournament, and moving him up 38 spots to 24th overall – though half of the field had yet to begin their round.

On the front nine, Manke birdied the fourth hole to get to 2-under again, but bogies on No. 6 and No. 8 moved him back to even.
