Six Earn ABCA All-Region Honors, Williams Adds All-America Selection

STANFORD, Calif. – Six Cardinal were named ABCA/Rawlings West All-Region, and senior Alex Williams was tabbed NCBWA All-America second team, it was announced on Wednesday. Carter Graham, Brock Jones and Williams landed on the ABCA first team, while Brett Barrera, Drew Bowser and Quinn Mathews were tabbed second team.

Williams, the 2022 Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year, had previously been selected a first-team All-American according to Collegiate Baseball, while Graham was a third-team All-American.

All six players also earned All-Pac-12 honors earlier this year, with Barrera, Bowser, Graham, Jones and Williams landing on the first team, and Mathews earning honorable mention.

ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team selections are nominated for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors. The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. I All-America Teams will be announced the morning of Friday, June 17 prior to the start of the 2022 NCAA Div. I College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.

The finalists for the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. I Gold Glove Team will be announced via the Rawlings Sporting Goods Twitter on Monday, June 20, and the Gold Glove winners in all divisions will be announced on Wednesday, June 22. In all divisions, ABCA/Rawlings National Pitchers and Position Players of the Year will be announced on Monday, June 27.

Stanford is currently preparing to make its 18th appearance in the College World Series – including its second in as many years. The Cardinal opens play in Omaha against Arkansas on Saturday at 11 a.m. PT.
