Madelyn Robinson To Compete at 2022 Global Challenge in Croatia

SALT LAKE CITY – Rising fifth year outside hitter Madelyn Robinson will represent her country and the University of Utah volleyball program in the 17th annual Global Challenge this week in Pula, Croatia. Robinson will compete with Team BIP, which is comprised of current collegiate players in the United States, during the high-level international tournament.

The Highland, Utah native will compete Tuesday, July 12, through Friday, July 15 against teams around the world. Robinson and her squad are set to play two matches on Tuesday and Wednesday, while the tournament will move to a winner's and loser's bracket format for the remaining days.

Robinson is coming off a second-straight All-Pac-12 campaign for the Utes in her senior season, as well as her first selection to the AVCA Pacific South All-Region team. Robinson averaged 3.01 kills per set overall in the 2021 season and totaled 340 kills. She totaled seven double-doubles, which included four coming in conference play. During her senior year, Robinson recorded a career high in kills (20), a career high in digs (16) and posted a career high in blocks (5). She reached 10 or more kills in 19 matches this season to aid Utah's offense.
