2022-23 Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Weekend Pairings Released

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Pac-12 Conference released the men's basketball weekend pairings for the 2022-23 season on Monday. As the conference begins the third season of playing 20 conference games, the Wildcats will play at Utah and host California in early December before diving completely into Pac-12 play later in the month.
 
The actual game dates along with start times and TV designations will come at a later date. Historically, that information has been made available towards the end of September. Make sure to check ArizonaWildcats.com for the most up-to-date information.
 
The complete Pac-12 slate for the Wildcats is below, but here are a few notes:
 

• Last year, Arizona won the Pac-12 regular season with an 18-2 record, becoming the first team in conference history to win 18 regular season conference games.
• Arizona has won 29 conference regular season titles dating back to the 1931-32 season.
• Arizona has won back-to-back conference titles 12 times, most recently in 2016-17 and 2017-18.
• Following Christmas break, the Wildcats jump back into conference play at Arizona State the week of Dec. 29-Jan. 2. Arizona also started the main portion of conference play at home against ASU in 2019-20.
• This season will mark the third straight that Arizona is scheduled to open the New Year and Pac-12 play on the road. Last year, the Wildcats were slated to open at UCLA (Dec. 30) and USC (Jan. 2) but COVID protocols within both of those programs pushed the games back and Arizona wound up opening up at home with Washington on Jan. 3.
• This season will be the fifth time in the last 12 seasons that UA and ASU meet the first week of conference play, with three of those five games taking place in Tempe.
• The last time Arizona was scheduled to close a conference season on the road was at Arizona State on March 4, 2017. The Wildcats closed the 2020-21 season at Oregon but that game was a rescheduled game from earlier in the season.
• The last time Arizona was scheduled to close the season with two straight road games was the end of the 2013-14 season, with games at Oregon State (March 5) and at Oregon (March 8).
• Because Arizona opens by playing at Arizona State, the Wildcats will not have a 3-game road trip during conference play, joining Utah as the only two teams that can claim that.
