UCLA Blanks Westmont, 2-0, in Exhibition Opener

LOS ANGELES – The No. 23-ranked UCLA men's soccer team defeated Westmont by a score of 2-0 in an exhibition contest at Wallis Annenberg Stadium on Monday night. The game served as the first interscholastic competition of the 2022 season for both teams.

Both of UCLA's goals came in the first half, with junior forward Andre Ochoa opening the scoring at the 6:15 mark followed by a 41st minute marker from senior winger Constantinos Michaelides.

Junior left back Tommy Silva recorded the primary assist on both goals.

UCLA out-shot Westmont 16-2 for the contest. The visiting Warriors were held without a shot on goal over the first 87 minutes of the match.

A combined 43 players saw action on Monday.

The Bruins wrap up their pre-season schedule on Saturday, hosting UNLV in an exhibition starting at 7:30 p.m. PT. Admission to the match is free.
