Arizona Hosts Fall Tournament

TUCSON, Ariz. - Men's Tennis hosts the Wildcat Invitational this weekend Sept. 16-18 at LaNelle Robson Tennis Center. Four Cats will represent Arizona in the tournament: Jared Horwood, Eric Padgham, Jay Friend and Dominique Rolland. 

This mark's the first-ever collegiate competition for the team's three freshmen and will be Horwood's fifth and final Wildcat Invitational. 

Arizona's Friday, Sept. 16 Morning Matches

  • 8 a.m. (MST) - Jay Friend & Eric Padgham (Doubles) vs. Loic Van Zeggelaar & Adrien Coulome (GCU)

  • 9 a.m. (MST) Jay Friend vs. Corey Clarke (NMSU)

  • 10:30 a.m. (MST) - Dominique Rolland vs. Jordy Visser (NMSU)

  • 10:30 a.m. (MST) - Eric Padgham vs. Itay Feigin (NMSU)

  • 11:30 a.m. (MST) - Jared Horwood vs. Roko Stipetic (NMSU) 

In the Wildcat and Bear Down doubles draws, both Arizona pairs are seeded No. 1 (Friend/Padgham and Horwood/Rolland). Horwood and Rolland received a bye in doubles competition and will play in their first match on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 8:00 a.m.

In singles competition, Padgham is seeded No. 1 in the red draw, Rolland seeded No. 2 in the grey draw and Friend seeded No. 1 in the blue draw. 

Arizona hosts Gonzaga, Northern Arizona University, Grand Canyon University, New Mexico State University, San Diego State University and University of New Mexico.
