Cross Country Heads to Tucson for Dave Murray Invitational

TEMPE–  Arizona State cross country is headed to Tucson on Friday to compete at the Dave Murray Invitational hosted by Arizona. The women's 6K race will begin at 7 a.m. followed by the men's 8K race at 7:45 a.m. The races will take place at Tucson Country Club and include competition from UTEP, Grand Canyon, San Diego State and New Mexico State.
 
The Sun Devils are coming off their first meet of the season at the UC Riverside Invitational on Sept. 17, their first meet under new head coach Ryun Godfrey. Vincent Mauri ran a 23:25.7 to win the men's 8K and help the men's team place eighth, and Lena Lebrun led the women's team finishing 16th in the 6K race in 20:44.8.
 
This will be the final regular-season race for ASU before the team heads back to Riverside, California, on Oct. 28 to compete in the Pac-12 Championships.
