Men’s Golf Continues Trip With Event In Hamptons

EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. – The Oregon State men's golf team plays in its third tournament in as many weeks as the Beavers head further east to take part in the Hampton Intercollegiate hosted by Loyolya-Maryland.
 
The two-day event gets underway Monday morning with 36 holes, followed by the final 18 on Tuesday.
 
Oregon State just completed a fourth-place finish at the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Grand Haven, Mich. Carson Barry finished in a tie for 14th on the strength of a 1-under 71 in the second round of play. Rylan Johnson led the Beavers on the final day with his own 1-under 71, while Jackson Lake topped the team's contingent with a 1-under 71 on Monday.
 
Overall, the Beavers placed all five competitors in the top-31 among approximately 90 total entrants.
 
FIELD (10): Oregon State, Loyola, Utah, Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio State, Yale, Georgetown, Penn and Princeton.
 
COURSE: The tournament will be held at the par-72, 6,665-yard Maidstone Club in East Hampton, N.Y.
 
BEAVERS' LINEUP: Oregon State's contingent will include Carson Barry, Mateo Fuenmayor, Jackson Lake, Collin Hodgkinson and Rylan Johnson. Sean Kato will compete as an individual.
 
FORMAT: Two-day, 54-hole tournament with 36 holes Monday and 18 on Wednesday. The top-four individuals from each five-member team with the lowest scores for each 18-hole round constitute the scoring members for that given round.
 
TEE TIMES: Oregon State will tee off starting at 4:45 a.m. PT (7:45 a.m. in New York) on Monday.
