Bruins to Close Fall Season at Wolf Pack Classic

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA men's golf team tees up for its final tournament of the fall at the Wolf Pack Classic at Hidden Valley Country Club in Reno, Nevada, for 36 holes on Monday, Oct. 11 and 18 holes on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
 
The 54-hole stroke play event plays a par 72 with a course yardage of 7,302.
 
UCLA finished fourth out of 15 teams (+14, 878) at the event a year ago, 28 strokes back of first-place New Mexico. It was the Bruins' highest team finish of the 2021-22 season.
 
Lineup (1-5): Kyle An, Pablo Ereño, Lincoln Melcher, Omar Morales and Evan Chien. Alvaro Muller will compete as an individual.
 
UCLA's lineup consists of all underclassmen with two freshmen (An and Melcher) and three sophomores (Ereño, Morales and Chien).
 
Field: BYU, Colorado, Fresno State, Loyola Marymount, San Diego, No. 18 San Diego State, San Francisco, St. Mary's and UNLV.*

Recapping the Blessings Collegiate Invitational
An recorded his second collegiate and a back-to-back top-20 finish in his early career, tying for 15th at 4-over par for the tournament. An opened with a 3-over 75, shot a 1-over 73 in round two and closed with an even-par 72 in round three.
 
The Bruins improved each day of the tournament as well, lowering their score each day 304-299-295.

UCLA is led by a strong young duo in Ereño and An, who both lead the team with a 73.0 stroke average. An is the owner of the Bruins' only top-20 individual finishes this season.
 
Tournament History
This will be the 33rd rendition of the Wolf Pack Classic dating back to 1976. Last season's event marked the first time the Wolf Pack Classic was held after an 11-year hiatus.
 
UCLA has captured the tournament title twice in 1992 and 1983.
 
In 2021, UCLA recorded three top-20 finishes from Devon Bling (T-15, +1), Sean Maruyama (18th, +2) and Omar Morales (T-19, +3).
