Lundgreen Leads the Way at Utah Open

SALT LAKE CITY – Ellie Lundgreen led the way on Thursday for the trio of Utes at Sunnyside Park while Bri Rinn ran unattached at the annual Utah Open.
 
Running unattached, Rinn posted a time of 20:10.0 in her first unofficial collegiate race for 22nd on the 5k course.
 
Lundgreen was the first Ute to cross the finish line, checking in with a mark of 20:22.3. Meanwhile, Grace Burnett was right behind her in her first race of the season with a time of 20:30.1 (23rd). Maren Busath rounded out the trio of Utes running in uniform with a time of 20:34.8 for a 25th-place finish.

The Women of Utah now get ready to head down to Southern California for the start of the Championship season and compete at the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships on Friday, Oct. 28, at the UCR Ags-Ops Course. The women's race is scheduled to go off at 9:40 a.m. (MT) / 8:40 a.m. (PT) on Pac-12 Networks.
