They took second in both the 200 medley relay and 800 free relay on Wednesday evening and currently lead the field with 68 points, outpacing second-place NC State (66).

Jack Dolan, Léon Marchand, Max McCusker and Jonny Kulow opened the four-day national championships by going 1:21.07 to take second in the 200 medley relay, setting a new school record in the process. They also would've held the new NCAA record – set by Florida in 2022 (1:21.13) – had it not been for first-place NC State, which went 1:20.67.

Marchand's split of 22.27 in the relay is the fastest 50 breast in NCAA history.

It crushed the foursome's previously held school record of 1:21.69, which they set on March 1 to open the Pac-12 Championships.

Grant House, Patrick Sammon, Julian Hill and Marchand added the second consecutive runner-up finish, going 6:05.08 in the 800 free relay to set another school record.

Marchand anchored the relay and split 1:28.42, the fastest time in history. Two relays for the Sun Devil sophomore sensation, two of the fastest splits in NCAA history.

The Sun Devils picked up 34 points in each relay.
