Ducks Ride Back-to-Back Wins Into The Goodwin

On the heels of back-to-back victories, No. 20 Oregon heads to the Bay Area for The Goodwin, Thursday through Saturday at the 7,193-yard, par 70 TPC Harding Park. The Ducks are one of four ranked squads in the 28-team field.

TEE SHOTS
• Nate Stember earned his first victory as a Duck with a 6-under 207 to help Oregon win the team title at the Duck Invitational. All five Ducks finished in the top 20. Owen Avrit and Greyson Leach tied for fifth, Greg Solhaug was T12 and Aiden Krafft was T18.
• Ranked 21st nationally, Owen Avrit has two wins on the season. He claimed victory at the Bandon Dunes Championship with a 4-under 140, that included three birdies on his last four holes to secure the win and lead the Ducks to the team title as well. He also won the Cal Poly Invitational.
• Owen Avrit was named Pac-12 golfer of the week following his win at Bandon. He is just the second Duck to be honored by the league twice in the same season, joining PGA Tour professional Aaron Wise, who was honored twice in 2015-16.
• Owen Avrit has six top-eight finishes in seven tournaments this season. In addition to his wins at Bandon and the Cal Poly Invitational (T1), He tied for fifth at the Southwestern Invitational, and tied for eighth at both the Husky Invitational and the Maui Jim Intercollegiate.
• Greg Solhaug is solidifying his position as Oregon's No. 2 golfer with five straight top-20 finishes.
• The Ducks opened the spring by tying for fourth at the Southwestern Invitational. Owen Avrit led the squad with a fifth-place finish, while Greg Solhaug tied for 19th.
