GENERAL

  • After breaking the Dumke Family Softball Stadium attendance record last night in the first game of the NCAA Softball Super Regional in Salt Lake City (2,723), Utah went on to break it for a second game in a row with 2,925 fans in attendance for the Utes' 10-1 victory against San Diego State.  
  • Utah is 41-14 overall this season, the most wins in a season since 2000 (42-23). The Utes' 41 wins this year is also the most in the Amy Hogue era.
  • Utah's four wins in the NCAA Regionals and Super Regionals this season ties for the second-most wins in program history after the Utes also won four in 2017.

UTAH

  • Utah has scored 10-or-more runs in seven games this season.
  • Today was Utah's 10th run-rule win of the season and the first since the Utes beat Arizona State on April 7.
  • Junior Aliya Belarde had recorded three-or-more hits in seven games this season and her 34th multi-hit game of her career.
  • Redshirt sophomore Shelbi Ortiz recorded her third home run of the season and of her career today.
  • Junior Sophie Jacquez is on a nine-game hitting streak – her longest of the season.
  • Freshman Abby Dayton's six-game hitting streak (ties season long), and 17-game on base streak is the longest streak for any Ute this season.

SAN DIEGO STATE

  • Sophomore Dee Dee Hernandez had gone 21 innings without giving up a run until today.
